1. Tikis don’t like the bare earth. Gravel, pavers, or lava rocks are good surfaces for your tiki.
2. Don’t allow grass or any vegetation to grow on your tiki. This makes the gods very angry.
3. Your tiki likes to breathe so allow good air flow.
4. Never bury your Tiki! Remember they don’t like the bare earth. You can however sink them into concrete if you like.
C A R E & M A I N T E N A N C E
1. If your tiki chose to live outside then he will age faster then those who choose to live inside. Some minimal attention needs to be given. Using Helmsman Spar Urethane by Minwax or similar product, coat your tiki liberally once or twice a year. Your tiki will let you know when it’s time.
2. Tikis have very magnetic personalities and attract all kinds of attention. So much in fact that mold may want a closer look. “No Problem” A 50/50 mix of bleach and water in a small spray bottle. Just spray the mold areas thoroughly. Remember “Good air flow”.
3. Concerned about bugs don’t be. Your tiki can be treated and protected with pesticide. Your tiki won’t be harmed.
