AKUA KA AK TIKI
This tiki carving is made from solid Acacia wood, also known as Monkey Pod. Hand rubbed with oil for a beautiful natural finish. Covered with Thompson's Water Sealant.
This Akua Ka'ai image was taken from a burial cave near Kawaihae, Hawaii. It is a typical Kona style Hawaiian tiki. It is beleived to be a protector against evil.
The original sculpture is the only one of its kind in the world and is now part of a priceless collection of the Bishop Museum, Honolulu.
